A few snaps taken on the drive from Brisbane to Melbourne. This took us about 1 week of gentle driving, including a few unintentional detours because I refused to buy a map! Although the distances are huge, the roads are straight and relatively uncrowded. We had a fantastic time catching up with family and friends (Hi Mum!), and meeting new people.
If you visit Victoria, make sure you pay a visit to Wedderburn. Wedderburn is one of the last remaining accessible places in the world where you can find large gold nuggets with relatively little effort. Be sure to call in to see Barry and his lovely wife who run Hamish Country Crafts.
